Axiom has been a valued partner in my supply chain link for the past 30 years. Most impressive of all is the "can do" and "will do" attitude.

Preparing Artwork to Print with Axiom Label Group
Axiom is here to make the transition from design to print easy- our art department can create, prepare and proof your artwork before you go to press. Whether you are a veteran to the printing process or new to custom label printing, will always make sure that your artwork is created to maximize its look on the final product. Whether ensuring a large enough font size to be readable for the end-user, or ensuring that your artwork has the proper bleed dimensions to look pristine on press... we are here to help! If you have questions about die lines, spot colors, outlining fonts, or file compression, call us - our team is happy to assist you!

Copy Considerations:
  • Make type sizes no smaller than 5 points in positives or inverses
  • Make line weights no thinner than .5 points in positives or inverses
  • Provides all fonts used or outline all fonts
  • Foreign language text must be outlined
  • Drop shadows without a keyline can cause registration problems
  • Bleeds should be .125" off edge of label
Color Considerations:
  • Screens and solids do not always run together. (When ran together, the solid color could be 2-3 shades lighter in order to keep the screens clean).
  • Bitmap / rasterized graphics should be 300 dpi. Saved as EPS and scaled in Photoshop.
  • Consider using a single spot color when possible and stay away from knock-outs in multiple colors (ie: Process). A 1 point keyline of solid black or any other dark solid spot color used in the design will ensure quality reproduction.
  • Minimum trap is 1 pt.

Recommended Design Registration Tolerances: +/- .0312"
When using Axiom Label die Lines: Do not manipulate die line in any manner. Contact Axiom Label for direction of copy position.
Maximum Number of Colors: 10 (UV Varnish counts as a color)
